Mrs. Shoemaker's class also spent some time at MSU-Mankato in their Family and Consumer Science Department.
Students in Chemistry are investigating the solubility of potassium nitrate as it relates to concentration and temperature.
Students in Physical Science are investigating the transformation of energy in a system as they design a track to convert potential energy into kinetic energy
Mrs. Shoemaker's Child Development class spent the morning exploring the Children's Museum. They learned about the different exhibits, what they teach children, and the process in which they are made.
Target students organized a trip to "Feed My Starving Children!"
A great way to spend a Friday (3/11/22)!
Students in chemistry were learning about how extreme temperatures can change the behavior of gasses.
Students in Biology with Mr. G. were disecting cow eyes donated by Will Sampson Jr.. Giant thank you to our community!
Students in Physical Science were investigating properties that impact buoyancy with a "Cartesian Diver" styles lab activity!
Congratulations to Our High School Students of the Month for March!
Congratulations to Our Middle School Students of the Month for March!
Mr. Wendlandt's 7th grade reading students are working on writing using a variety of text structures such as descriptive, compare and contrast, problem/solution, cause and effect, and sequential order!
Congrats to Corbin Guggisberg and Luca Greenig on being selected for the ACDA-MN State 7-8 CTB Honor Choir! They were selected as two of Minnesota’s outstanding young choral musicians from hundreds of applications. Well done, Corbin and Luca!
Students in Physical Science are summarizing what they have learned about forces and how they cause motion.
Middle School Students of the Month for February
Students in Chemistry were predicting the products of chemical reactions. Different tests (such as the flaming splint test) were done to identify chemicals produced and check their predictions.
Students in physical science were exploring motion by using ultrasonic motion detectors and Logger Pro lab tools to graph the motion of manipulated objects. Students worked to understand how movement in one dimension can be graphed.
Students in physical science were using pH strips to determine the pH of common household items, calculating pOH, and predicting properties of those items based on their acidity or alkalinity.
Celebrating LS-H Seniors! Class of 2022!
Mr. May’s PE classes are enjoying skating at the Community Center!
Students in physical science were observing the chemical reactions of chemical equations that they were balancing!
